A newly announced $6 million investment in Khandallah School has been welcomed by local Ohariu MP Peter Dunne.

A new nine-classroom block will be built to address structural issues in the school’s current main teaching block.

Mr Dunne said it was excellent to see this commitment from the Government, in particular the support from the Ministry of Education working with Khandallah School to ensure the new teaching spaces will support the school’s vision for learning.

“This is welcome news for both the students and parents.  By surrounding the students with the best facilities and latest equipment we can create the kind of environment that will inspire and support pupils to achieve to the best of their potential,” Mr Dunne said.

“The new classrooms will provide an innovative learning environment that will enrich the  students of Khandallah School and the wider Ohariu community as the students develop essential problem-solving and life skills”
