United Future pays it back

The Auditor-General's report and
election spending

In his recent report to Parliament, the Auditor-General determined that United Future had misused just over $70,000 of Parliamentary funding for electioneering purposes.

Although the money was spent to benefit eight MP's plus all the United Future candidates, the burden of repaying it has fallen very heavily on the current three United Future MP's.

I am therefore, in the interests of fairness and in removing this heavy financial burden from our party, seeking your assistance in meeting this debt.
