Busy, busy, busy!!!

Amongst other things:

  • Visited Challenge 2000 in Johnsonville, the Hare Krishna Temple in Newlands and the Salvation Army in Tawa
  • Attended the opening night of Tawa College’s musical production, “Standing Ovation 2”
  • Made home visits to constituents in Maungaraki, Crofton Downs, Tirohanga, Harbourview and Korokoro
  • holding radio talkback shows on Newland’s One Eyed FM (11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays on 107.7 FM)
  • Attended the reopening of Khandallah’s Town Hall, and the opening of Hutt Hospital’s new emergency facilities and operating theatres
  • Presented the awards at North Wellington Football Club’s junior and senior prizegivings
  • Chaired meetings of the Northern Wellington Festival Committee regarding this year’s Festival to be held on the first weekend of December
  • Hosted the successful annual North Wellington Voluntary Service Awards presentation dinner where 12 local volunteers were presented with this year’s awards
  • Met the owners of the Johnsonville Shopping Centre to discuss the timing of their redevelopment plans
  • Met with the Mayor of Wellington and local Councillor Justin Lester on northern suburbs issues
  • Attended Newlands Volunteer Fire Brigade’s Awards Evening
  • Opened the new Ecosway shop in Johnsonville Mall
  • Attended St Barnabas’ Church’s North to South fundraiser for the Christchurch  Earthquakes and the Otari Schools Kapa Haka Festival at Newlands Intermediate School
