Brian Mockridge

Bryan Mockridge is originally from Lower Hutt, and gained BA (Economics) and BCA (Political Statistics) degrees before working in the public and manufacturing sectors in financial analysis and budget management roles. For the last 20 years, he has worked in the IT industry as a project or service manager. He is married to Janice, an IT Teacher, with teenage sons Mark and Paul, and lives at Kawakawa Bay, 50 km east of Auckland.

 He has served as a board member of ASB Bank, the Building Guarantee Corporporation and Alfriston College, and was secretary of Clevedon Junior Hockey Club and for the last few years managed Southern Club secondary hockey teams. Currently he is on the Kawakawa Bay Community Association committee, and a director of IT Forensix Ltd and the Carrothumpian Miro Lodge at Ohakune.

 Bryan was active in the Labour Party in the 70’s and 80’s, standing for local bodies and for Albany electorate. He has been a United-Future member since first established 1994, as a candidate in 1996, 1999 and 2008, with terms as a board member from 1998 and from 2010.  He is particularly active in election organization, and in the development of long-term policies for the next 10-20 years (which major parties try to avoid) to ensure that New Zealand becomes the best place to raise a family.
