Dunedin North - Mary Edwards
Mary is UnitedFuture's candidate for Dunedin North. She was educated at Otago Girls’ High School and Dunedin Teachers’ College and is also a graduate of what is now known as Laidlaw College.
She taught for several years in Otago schools and her last primary school position was as head teacher of a two teacher international school in Papua New Guinea. From there she moved to ESOL teaching with adults.
As well as education and family interests generally, Mary is passionate about special needs and cross cultural issues. A recent involvement was assisting in a children’s divorce recovery programme.
