UnitedFuture to contest Mt Albert by-election – 2009-04-30 10:22:52.936

UnitedFuture leader Peter Dunne today announced that his party will contest the Mt Albert by election.

“I am confident we will be able to select a high quality candidate from an excellent field,” Mr Dunne said.

“Some 54 percent of Mt Albert voters are in the 20 to 50 age group, and nearly two-thirds their households are parents raising children.

“Our campaign will promote UnitedFuture as the party of government that is expressly committed to their concerns at both the local and national level,” he said.

Nominations within UnitedFuture for candidate selection will close at 5pm on Friday, 8 May.

Mr Dunne says UnitedFuture will announce its candidate in about two weeks.
