February was a busy month, even before the tragic Earthquake unfolded in Canterbury.

My February activities included:

• meeting the chief executive of Wakefield Hospital to discuss the redevelopment of Bowen Hospital in Crofton Downs
• attending the release of the Newlands Paparangi Progressive Association's release of its 20 year development strategy for the area
• visiting businesses in Tawa and Maungaraki
• home visits to constituents in Ngaio
• attending the installation of the new vicar of Newlands, the opening of new facilities at Khandallah Presbyterian Church, and the Muslim League's Eid Function at Onslow College
• holding electorate clinics in Johnsonville, Newlands, Maungaraki and Tawa
• visiting Brian Webb Kindergarten in Tawa
• Established my electorate offices as a contact point for people to volunteer spare accomodation for Canterbury Earthquake victims. We had a fantastic response. Thank you all.
