I have a problem, a John Cleese type problem.
I'm a moderate, sensible family orientated person, an ordinary sort of person that doesn't stand out in a crowd.
Ordinary people started telling me they felt ignored in politics. I wanted ordinary people to be listened, and I wanted to be listened to, so I decided to do something about it.
I did the sensible thing and joined a moderate sensible family orientated party. United Future.
The problem is, because United Future is a moderate sensible family orientated party it doesn't stand out in the crowd. And because the party has moderate sensible family orientated policies they don't stand out either.
I thought of coming up with fruit loop ideas. I thought of dressing up sensible policies in fruit loop clothes. But that wouldn't make sense. That's what other parties do.
So we have a problem.
There are many ordinary sensible moderate people, but they don't make much fuss so they don't get listened to.
And there's a sensible moderate party that doesn't get listened to.
So we're in this together. But no one takes any notice.
The media prefer the extreme, the obscene, anyone wanting to gripe, anyone wanting to hype. They don't do normal. They don't do United Future.
So we have a problem.
How does a moderate sensible party like tell all the moderate sensible people that United Future have moderate sensible policies and candidates?
Be sensible.
Write an email and send it to us, telling us how we can tell people how moderate and sensible we are, and how moderate and sensible our policies are.
