It has been a mild winter so far, but it looks like some classic wintery weather has finally arrived. Some of the tings I have been doing, out and about in Ohariu:

• held electorate clinics in Maungaraki and  Johnsonville
• collected for The Wellington City Mission in Johnsonville
• attended the annual general meetings of the Newlands Volunteer Fire Brigade, the Normandale Residents Association, and the Johnsonville Bowling Club
• visited Johnsonville West and Churton Park Kindergartens
• hosted radio talkback shows on One Eyed Fm in Newlands (Saturdays at 11:30am on 107.7 FM)
• met Onslow College students to discuss a geography project
• visited Newlands Community Foodbank and meeting with The Coalition of Wellington foodbanks
• launched Studylink's "Sussed" programme on student allowances at Tawa College
•  visited local businesses in Ngaio
