A qualified carpenter and joiner. Paul became self employed in 1969 developing one of the countries leading manufacturers of outdoor play equipment (Adams Productions Ltd).

Always keen on motor sport Paul became one of the country’s first professional drivers holding contracts with General Motors and Toyota NZ Ltd. He has been NZ Rally champion, NZ Hillclimb champion and NZ Rallycross champion. He is a life member of the Hibiscus Coast Motorsport Club.

He currently owns a Kia franchised Motor Vehicle Dealership in Albany on the Auckland’s North Shore. Paul is also a Pastor at one of the largest churches in New Zealand; City Impact Church in Browns Bay.

Paul is a holder of a private pilots licence and a past president of the North Shore Aero club. Paul is married with four adult children and two grandchildren.
