Ōhariu MP and UnitedFuture Leader Hon Peter Dunne welcomed the announcement that the government has agreed to commit almost $3.3 million, to upgrade Ngaio school’s buildings and facilities.
“I am delighted that the long dialogue I have had with the school’s principal and Board about the necessity for classroom refurbishments and facility upgrades, which I have conveyed to the relevant government Ministers, has resulted in today’s announcement.
“I am also very pleased that the work will be expedited immediately with project completion in less than nine months. This minimises disruption to students and teachers as well as providing them with state of the art facilities.
“This new learning environment will further enhance the educational excellence already provided by this outstanding school”, said Mr Dunne.
