Proud Of Improving Everyday Life For New Zealanders.

The UnitedFuture and National Confidence and Supply Agreement continues to improve everyday life for New Zealanders. One of the policy initiatives agreed is to enhance the role of pharmacists in primary care.

Today the Minister of Health announced that hundreds more patients with heart disease will be supported by their local pharmacist to manage their blood thinning medication, warfarin. It is a great example of pharmacists and GPs working together to improve the health of their patients. The service frees up GPs and nurses and improves patient’s lives.

UnitedFuture is proud of this achievement and will work towards the continual expansion of such initiatives.
