![]() United Future NZ and Outdoor Recreation NZ are working together toward the 2005 elections, making the most of the opportunity of a shared vision for New Zealand, and a desire to make New Zealand the best place in the world to raise a family.
At last there is a conservation policy that is a balance between the environmental extremes of preservation and exploitation! The "common sense" conservation policy is based around making the most of our natural environment so that New Zealanders can access and enjoy our great outdoors. United Future NZ and Outdoor Recreation NZ signed an Affiliation Agreement in April 2004. The Affiliation Agreement provides for both of United Future and Outdoor Recreation to remain its own distinct political party. However, it also allows the parties to pool resources and efforts into the same goal - more members of Parliament that will represent the interests of New Zealand families and unlocking access to our natural environment.
Under the terms of the Affiliation Agreement, the two parties will contest the 2005 election under the banner of "United Future". The logo has been adapted so that voters can clearly identify that the two political parties are working together. United Future candidates include candidates from Outdoor Recreation, and United Future's conservation policy is based Outdoor Recreation's policy. Together, United Future and Outdoor Recreation are working to ensure that the New Zealand great outdoors is a place that New Zealanders can enjoy for this generation, and the next.
