Copeland backs call to rename airport Miramar resident and United Future MP Gordon Copeland today backed calls to rename Wellington airport “Peter Jackson Airport”.“From my home I look down over Peter Jackson’s growing Miramar empire. Accordingly I am only too conscious of the enormous contribution he has made to life on the Miramar Peninsula, to Wellington City, and indeed to the nation.”
