Paul lives in Taupo with his Brazilian wife and they have three children. He is currently Managing Director of Checkmark Engineering in Taupo.
Paul worked as a Marine Engineer in the Royal NZ Navy before working in the American Merchant Marine in Brazil. He then spent time as Chief Engineer for ITT Sheraton Hotels in NZ and Latin America and then Director of Projects andEngineering in Venezuela. After that came work as National Project Manager for a Heinz Wattie Company before moving to Taupo.
Paul speaks Spanish and Portuguese and his interests include overseas travel, fishing, hunting and sailing. He is also an avid reader, enjoys camping and hiking and takes a keen interest in politics.
Paul is Chairman of Outdoor Recreation NZ, on the Board of United Future, and the United Future candidate for Taupo. His policy interests are the Environment, Energy, Transport and Education.
