Well the current level for under 20's is already less than other adults - about one beer or wine. What is being achieved by stopping 18 and 19 year olds having 1 beer and driving? - they are not dangerous or impaired, they have obviously not been binge-drinking.
Why criminalise responsible young adults for doing something that is not dangerous, that they are legally allowed to drink, and still have to have less than all other adults are allowed to do, as a measure to curb youth drinking?
Maybe link the reduced limit to learner and restricted licenses, but not the arbitrary age of 20.
