UnitedFuture announces more candidates
UnitedFuture party president, Denise Krum, has announced a further 12 electorate candidates for this year’s general election.
She commended the candidates on their wide community and professional experience and noted that 8 out of the 12 candidates were female.
"From young mums to retired seniors, this group of candidates represents a fantastic cross-section of New Zealand.
"All have one thing in common, and that’s support of a centre party, support of UnitedFuture.”
Ms Krum commented that one candidate had said to her “I am tired of Labour, but I don’t trust National. I trust my family, my kids, and a political party that cuts through the middle without ignoring anyone.”
Ms. Krum is expected to announce further and final UnitedFuture candidates on Tuesday and UnitedFuture’s final party list on Wednesday.
UnitedFuture’s campaign launch is this Sunday, October 12, 2pm at the Library Café, 55 Princes Street, Onehunga, Auckland. It will have a focus on income splitting for parents with dependent children under the age of 18.
