Well done Peter. To take the initiative to secure Wellington's architecture for people is a very good step. To be criticized for doing that shows, in my opinion, you've done the right thing.

What does '124 Served’ actually mean? Does it mean the building is a high risk?
I am quite concerned for people who have to work in these buildings. If that is at risk then thats not very good having to work in such a building.

If you are a customer you can choose to not go there but if you are an employee - then do you have a choice?.

This list is published, in fact the first list was published in 1973 and has been updated many times over the years so Peter, please don't claim you are doing something good.This is just trying to score political points.

Thanks you peter for publishing this information. Everybody has the right to know which building are safe and which are not and they can decide if they want to live, work or shop in them.

Only thing is google maps started freezing up due to the large numbers, so not all are listed, 99.9% the 124 served ones have been added, though hundreds of the potenially earthquake prone ones have not been added! There is a lot there!

While it is good to know which buildings are earthquake prone, it would also be good to know what is being done about it.

For example, I see 3A Gouchester Street, which is Wilton Playcentre is on the list - as I look out my of window, the building is in the final stages of being reclad ( removing dangerous brick work) , reroofed ( removing dangerous roof tiles), as well as having additions and alterations completed.

I wonder how many of the other buildings have also had work done.....?

I tried to tell your office this yesterday but was rudely dismissed. As someone whose family owns one of the buildings on the list, where strengthening work was completed in 2008, I am highly annoyed that you are presenting this list as the official word on earthquake prone buildings, without any caveats! The WCC is fielding many similar calls. You're also my local MP, i expect more from you.
