BLOG: Calling for YOUR Thoughts!

I would be really interested in hearing folks' response to this article that appeared in yesterday's Sunday Star Times. http://www.stuff.co.nz/sundaystartimes/4277221a6005.html

I have visited a number of "Men's Groups" in the last few years and have been increasingly concerned at the range of issues that are gender specific to men, and the difficulty in getting anyone to take seriously their plight. The most interesting fact is that when men encounter difficulties they are expected to individually get their act together, where as when women are marginalised, we jump to addressing systemic matters that exist.

Thanks for pointing that out Judy. It's quite an interesting read.

I think that it's something that isn't often considered and needs to be! I'm particularly aware of the younger generation who are growing up in a society that sometimes doesn't seem to know what to do with men. I know I�ve found it unnerving at times when what was once considered the social norm, isn�t anymore.
