| UNITED FUTURE CALLS FOR 15 HOURS A WEEK PRE SCHOOL EDUCATION FOR THREE YEAR OLDS |
|
United Future leader, Hon Peter Dunne, is calling for all children, three years and above to have access to up to 15 hours a week early childhood education.
Expressing support for Early Childhood Education Awareness Week this week, Mr Dunne said United Future was particularly committed to ensuring all children get the best possible start in life. He said that the early childhood education was a consistent and practical step that could be taken to ensure children got the best start in life. We all know that the first few years of a childs life are the most pivotal, and that education is the key to their future. That is why we place so much emphasis on early access to quality pre-school education for our children. Too many children are presently missing out on this vital opportunity to their detriment in later life. United Future is determined to address this shortcoming, hence our commitment to access to 15 hours a week early childhood education for every child over the age of three years, Mr Dunne says.
