| UNITED FUTURE NEW ZEALAND BACKS PAN ASIAN CONGRESS |
|
United Future New Zealand Leader, Peter Dunne, today welcomed the launching of the New Zealand Pan Asian Congress as an important step in the growing and vibrant diversity of the New Zealand community.
"I deeply regret that, because of last-minute airline cancellations and the unavailability of alternative suitable flights, I am unable to attend the launch this morning as planned. "The Congress seeks to be a non-political agency that will work with all political parties in the interests of Asian New Zealanders. We welcome the formation of this important link to the country's growing Asian communities. "United Future is a party that firmly believes immigration will improve New Zealand's economy and society. We strongly oppose all efforts to limit immigration. We believe New Zealand needs a greater population in order to develop economically and socially," said Mr Dunne. "We look forward to working with the Congress to promote a brighter future for New Zealand," he said. ENDS |
