The former National MP, Graeme Reeves, is the new secretary-treasurer of United Future New Zealand.
Mr Reeves, a Wellington lawyer, was MP for Miramar from 1990 to 1993. He says he’s delighted to be joining the party which he describes as “alive, focussed and intelligent”.
“I’m very comfortable with United Future’s economic policies and I’m particularly pleased with its social policies, especially the focus on the family,” he said.
Mr Reeves’ joining of the party coincides with the appointment of three new members of the United Future board, former Wellington mayor, Mark Blumsky, charitable trust director, Max Palmer, of Christchurch, and Denise Krum, a mother of Auckland, with a background in post-graduate political studies and regional political work She says she’s "happy to represent young mothers and parents undertaking the vital role of parenting." Denise also happens to be the daughter of the Hon. Graeme Lee, former National MP and Cabinet Minister from 1981-1996.
