United Future New Zealand is a coalition between the United New Zealand and the Future New Zealand parties. Its leader is the Hon Peter Dunne MP, leader of United New Zealand, and the deputy leader is Anthony Walton, leader of Future New Zealand.
The two parties came together because we share a common vision for a better New Zealand and this vision is reflected in policies that are similar on a wide range of issues.
We do not let ideology get in the way of common sense and good policies for New Zealand families. At all times, we act in the interests of all New Zealanders, whatever their age, background, and gender, to make our country the best in the world once more. We do not get bogged down in petty political point scoring, or break our promises and blame it on someone else. Nor will we trade away public health and education services, or public safety and security, and access to our natural environment.
At the 2002 General Election, these policies were embraced by New Zealanders all over the country, lifting our Parliamentary representation from just one, to eight, Members of Parliament.
