More Sun! An Extension to Daylight Saving

United Future Leader Peter Dunne, in partnership with Nelson City Councillor Mark Holmes successfully launched and ran a petition calling for an extension to the period of daylight saving in New Zealand. The day before the petition was tabled in Parliament, the Minister of Internal Affairs, recognising the groundswell of opinion, announced a change in the daylight saving regulations meaning daylight saving will be extended by three weeks from Summer 2007/08.
