While recognising many problems, he is singularly determined to implement policies that reduce violent crime and increase victim support. Instrumental to that goal is the need for family affirming policies through commonsense approaches to taxation, education, health and a policy of positive aging. "Our high rates of taxation have undermined the economic welfare of the family and created rather than solved problems by raising the threshold of dependency."

Marc says that as political parties jostle and compete for the vote by hanging out a menu of policies, only United Future has an abiding principle that gauges public policy against their effects on people and families. Only United Future has expressly placed people at the heart and purpose of government.

"What I believe I bring to United Future is an idealism of core values that are tempered by a pragmatic appreciation of the 'real' world. My thoughts and ideas have been shaped by my experiences culled from all walks of life and cultures, balanced by both academic and common sense understanding."
